It can be difficult to describe to people what we do at Stoneyard but when they walk in the tasting room door it becomes very clear. This product is made from the ground up. We built the tasting room from the ground up as well, with much of the material being scavenged from the stoneyard and sawmill that occupied the space before the distillery. The history of Colorado is rich here. When you drink Stoneyard at Stoneyard you’re pretty much drinking Colorado through a fire-hose. Located on the lava flow of the Dotsero Volcano, the feel of freshly made rock bleeds into the distillery. The still made from scratch on location, and equipment scrounged from wherever we could find it. Conviction to make things work no matter the obstacle makes spirits born from this still taste like no other. With water sourced directly from a private river pump house, we can dictate exactly what goes into and comes out of our product. These things combine with Colorado sourced beet sugar to make Stoneyard a unique liquor that can only be made here.
Drop by for a taste or a cocktail Wednesday through Saturday 4-8pm. Or if your passing by Dotsero on an off day or before that time, give us a call at 970-471-0284 to see if someone's around the yard who can give you a taste or sell you some booze!
